The Savannah Fishing Expo will feature captains speaking about everything from understanding sonar to techniques and tips.

All seminars located in meeting rooms located behind the escalator in the River Concourse lobby.

Captain Dave Tilley of SaltwaterCentral.Com and the Wild Rover III teaching the do’s and don’ts of weather forecasting for a saltwater Captain. We will cover various weather models and forecasts and what they mean in the real world. Details of Significant wave height, period, wind speed and wind direction.

Captains Tim Deckard and Joe Marshall

Captain Tim Deckard and Captain Joe Marshall, GySgt USMC (Retired) of Cast Away Charters of Beaufort are the ultimate 1-2 punch when it comes to Lowcountry fishing. These well known guides have fished the inshore coastal waters of South Carolina as Cast Away Charters since 2005.

Captain Rennie Clark

Captain Rennie Clark has been fishing the coastal waters of the Carolinas for over thirty years. Captain Ren is one of the most successful professional Redfish anglers in the country. He’s a leading competitor on the national IFA tournament trail and i a frequent speaker at fishing schools and seminars in North and South Carolina.

Captain Kia Williams

Kia is known as one of the Low County’s most up and coming fishing guides. His progressive techniques and tactics have made him one of the most sought after guides in the Hilton Head area. He has a keen knowledge of both light tackle and fly fishing and he specializes in targeting species such as Redfish and Speckled Trout.

Captain Chip Michalove

Chip has become known for his expertise in the pursuit and catching of Great White Sharks off the South Carolina Georgia coast. He is also a strong advocate in the preservation of the Great White. His extensive knowledge of this dangerous predator makes him one of the most respected sources of information.

Captain Matt Starling

Matt is well known for being the “go to Guy” when it comes to nearshore and offshore fishing in the Savannah area. His fishing expertise covers a wide number of species that includes Tarpon, Black Seabass and Jack Crevalle. He will give great tips on fishing for the illusive tarpon.

Captain Jack MC Gowan

Jack is a life long resident of Savannah and has fished the nearby waters all of his life. He and his Coastal River Charters are both iconic names in the saltwater fishing community in North Georgia. He’s a frequent speaker at are fishing seminars and especially the Savannah Boat Show. His “back to basics” approach is popular among seminar guest.

Captain Josh Bowles is one of the most well known names in fishing in the Hilton Head and Savannah area. He is the owner of Southern Drawl Outfitters in Hilton Head. He’s known for his extensive knowledge fishing tackle and also known for his knowledge of Saltwater fly fishing.

Kathy Wilson

Kathy is the managing editor of Coastal Carolina Fisherman e-Magazine. She has fished all over the Carolina, Florida and Louisiana. She caught and maintained the fishing buy by being the wife of a charter captain and fishing journalist. She loves teaching kids the art of fishing and the preservation of our fishing resources.

Randy is a Charleston, SC native. He is the regional sales representative for St. Croix fishing rods. Randy is an avid fresh and saltwater angler and enjoys adding fly fishing to his many talents. He’s a frequent speaker at seminars and fishing schools all along the east coast.

Attention all Scallywags and Wenches (and all those in between)! Captain Jack and his ladies will be setting their course for the Savannah Boat Show on March 3rd and 4th! Come out and see Captain Jack Sparrow, Anne Bonny, and Mary Read as they make Savannah their port for the weekend! Hold on to your wallets, hide the rum, and keep your wenches close as you take pictures with Captain Jack and his crew. There will be lots of pillaging, plundering, and perhaps a hijacking or two! Mark your calendars and set sail for the Savannah Boat Show! See you there, mates!

Donnie Osborne is a cosplayer and Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator. He has been entertaining folks as Captain Jack for more than 10 years. He has made a guest appearance at The Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World as Captain Jack, met several of the Pirates of the Caribbean cast members, including Johnny Depp himself. Before becoming Captain Jack, Donnie was in the Air Force and later in Law Enforcement. Being a disabled veteran, he turned to cosplay and creating art as a way to spend his free time. It’s a pirates life for him!

The Chuck Courtenay Band

The Chuck Courtenay Band is quickly becoming one of Savannah and the Southeast’s best Country Bands. The lead man, Chuck Courtenay has been in the spotlight for many years as half of the popular “Courtenay Brothers Band”, and now has a front and center approach to playing hits that everyone knows and loves as well as his originals. They play songs from the late greats such as Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash as well as today’s leading country chart toppers. They are a well-known local cover band that has no limits, and are currently one of Savannah’s favorites.
