The 14th Annual Savannah Boat Show

The 14th Annual Savannah Boat Show March 4-6, will feature Captain Paul Hebert of National Geographic’s Wicked Tuna

GREENVILLE, SC (Feb 12, 2016) JBM & Associates, boat show management company and founders of the Savannah Boat Show are planning on a huge year for their 14h annual show held at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center.  “It’s been quite a ride over the past 14 years,” said JBM President, Jacqui Bomar.  Based on the strength of the boat show industry reports and the success of our recent Charleston show, we feel this is going to be a superb year for the exhibiting boat dealerships.”

With Savannah’s coastal location, the show features hundreds of the newest powerboat models, equipment and services from dealerships throughout the southeast.  “Boating enthusiasts can find just about anything they are interested in and learn from the expert manufacturers representatives and the boat dealers.  There is no other place you can go and see this variety of powerboats and accessories under one roof in this market,” said Bomar.

Attendees also have an opportunity to meet Captain Paul Hebert, a third-generation fisherman who has been fishing since he was a child.  “I grew up doing this. My father was a fisherman, and my five brothers do it.  My mother does it. It’s all I know.  It’s like growing up on a farm, and knowing about cows.  I grew up knowing fishing.  When I was 4, my dad used to set me up next to him in a chair while he went harpooning.”  While some fishermen go through entire careers without even daring to tackle the mighty bluefin, Paul caught his first at the tender age of 8 using a handline. “It was 1,100 pounds!” he recalls.
